1 Day Gorilla trekking, Gorilla trekking in Uganda national parks including Bwindi Impenetrable National Park however this kind of itinerary favors trekkers who have very limited time, but wish to trek the mountain Gorillas before they get back to their projects of work. The trekkers must be living in areas of Kisoro ,Kabale town. However one must still book for a gorilla permit in advance in order to be secured.

Bwindi Impenetrabl e National park has four sectors including Ruhijah, Buhoma, Nkuringo and Rushaga all the Gorilla sector families are open for trekking. They’re very many numbers of things to spot including primates, Bird species, mammals, Tree species, falls, geckos, reptiles, chameleons and many more. Ask the staff to wake you up at 4am to prepare have tea early morning, our guide/driver will pick you up at 5am in order to drive faster to the park Head quarters for a short briefing about Gorilla trekking which starts at 7:30am. Each Gorilla family is visited by 8 people per group and open to Tourists ,there are a lot of things to spot including 300 butterfly species,30 fern species,30 species of chameleon and many more to spot.

DAY SCHEDULE

Arrive at the park headquarters be briefed and grouped in 8 trekkers, or 3 to 4 trekkers depending on the season, a ranger guide and a porter will help you to carry the luggage’s however your advised that each trekker is hired at a cost ,the cost helps to cater for the community through education. Pick a trekking stick which you will use during the trek.

The trek takes 30 minutes to 7 hours as you trail through the forest since mountain Gorillas are wild animals that keep moving from place to another.

One needs to be physically fit, to trek the mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat as you trek the mountain Gorillas you will spot a number of things including Elephants, White and black colobus monkey, baboons, chameleons, a number of bird species and many more. When you get close to the mountain Gorillas you will only be allowed to spend one hour with the mountain Gorillas as you see them play, groom each other, feed and many more. Takes pictures with flush light off and videos but with lower voice tones.

The ranger guide gives you one hour to spend eating in the forest as you listen to the birds singing, trees and many more.

1 day Gorilla trekking, after all get back to the park headquarters for a gorilla ceremony and back on the road to your residence or area of the hotel.
