Bwindi impenetrable national Park, is located in the southwest part of Uganda and its famous for the mountain Gorillas, it’s one of the national parks that inhabit the mountain Gorillas in the world.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1 Kampala-Kibale

Wake up early morning after breakfast our guide will pick you up from your hotel or area of residence, and proceed to Kibale National park, pass via Lake Albert escarpment and enjoy a great view of the Lake.

Have a stopover in Hoima for lunch and there after you will drive towards the park, drive through a number of traditional grass thatched houses in the Village, enjoy the green vegetation cover, take some photos for your great memories as you approach Fort Portal, go through the foot hills of Rwenzori National park Mountains and there after continue to Kibale National park.

View part of Rwenzori National Park Mountain commonly, “mountain of the moon”. Arrive at the lodge and check in get ready for nature walk.

Return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3 Chimpanzee trekking-Bigodi wetland

Wake up early morning our guide will drive you to the pack headquarters after your breakfast for a short briefing about chimpanzee trekking.

After a short briefing our guide and ranger will guide you through the forest to locate the chimpanzees. As you trek have an opportunity to see a number of bird species, tree species, mammals and many more.

As you trek you will hear the sounds of chimpanzees as they swing from tree to tree, eating fruits, the second primate species resting and grooming each other.

This is one of the best experiences to encounter in the wilderness.

Return to the lodge for lunch and get ready for the evening nature walk in Bigodi wetland .expect to see birds like the great blue turaco, baboons, monkeys, bushbucks, Warthogs and many more to see. After return to the lodge for dinner and refreshment.

Day4 Kibale National park - Bwindi Forest National park

Early morning, after breakfast enjoy a packed lunch, depart to Bwindi Forest National park via Ishasha region have a chance to see the tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector ,views of beautifully plantation, rolling hills and many more.

Day 5 Gorilla trekking

Early morning after breakfast the guide will pick you up from the lodge at 7am,the lodge staff will provide you with packed lunch, drinking water and walking stick.

Note: walking sticks can be provided at the park head quarters.

The short briefing at the park headquarters starts at 7:30am meet the ranger and guide who will take you through a short briefing about mountain Gorilla trekking.

Start the trek with the rangers and guides through the forest trails, have a chance to see a number of list of birds species, tree species, waterfalls, mammals and many more to see in the rain forest. The time to encounter with the mountain Gorillas is unpredictable however it takes 30 minutes to 4 hours, one need to be physically fit two days pro to the trek.

When you finally meet the mountain Gorillas you have a face to face encouter , as they feed, display their nests, play, groom each other.

Mountain Gorillas are spotted for one hour in the wildness, and another hour spent enjoying your forest picnic lunch pack, there after lunch you will return to the park headquarters for a Gorilla celebration and certificate honoring that indicate that you participated in Gorilla trekking.

After drive back to the lodge,relaxation you can optional for a evening culture encounter with the Bakiga ,Batwa the first people who inabited in the Forest before the conservation of Mountain Gorilla..

Enjoy the dance, poem, songs and drum during the culture encounter.

Day 5 Bwindi Forest Nationa park –return to Kampala

Early morning embark back to Kampala after your breakfast, travel through the beautiful hills .its breath taking scenery in the little ‘Switzerland of Africa’.

Drive through the cultivated land as you see the ‘Ankole’ long horned cattle’s and have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch at Agip motel, there after continue to your next stopover at the equator for a beautiful view of where the imaginary line crosses into Africa the north and south pole.
