NYUNGWE FOREST CANOPY WALK

 Nyungwe forest National Park, of Rwanda is 50 meters in the air on the canopy walk. The walkway of length is 200 meters across a steep and deep valley which is filled with thick forest. The canopy walk offers a breathtaking view across the misty forest, the sights of wildlife inhabiting the canopies.

 The walk takes approximately 2 hours, with chances of viewing the ground level nature, primates includes L’Hoests monkeys, black and white colobus moneys, red-tailed monkeys and many birds.

 The minimum age for one to take this walk is 6years and the kids must be escorted. Nyungwe forest National park is one of the reasons Rwanda has become the top tourist destination in the world.

The park is an adventure sight with beautiful nature which is covered between 1600 and 200 square meters.

Nyungwe gives the Tourists a diversity scenery of land scape as you trek to the main attractions once you get to the park have a chance to discover the unbelievable adventure.

The canopy bridge adjoins between the huge trees with the feel of fresh air above the forest ground. Apart from the fresh air and the wonderful views of the trees.

The cost of this activity is $60 per person paid at the reception center. The activity takes place through out the year although one is advised to carry a rain coat due to the chances of high rainfall, the walking sticks are provided for free of charge but the rest of hiking shoes and rain coat can be rented from the reception center.

The hike takes place two times a week from 8 am to 10 am and 1 pm to 3 pm the two walking sections gives one an opportunity to move in the middle and on top of the forest grounds.
